100% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. In addition they live in one of the most racially segregated districts in the country. My students, who are predominantly African and Native American, are not given the same luxuries as the more affluent mostly Caucasian schools in Tulsa. My students do not have the same supplies or support to put on a great culture fair. In addition the history of race and culture in Tulsa is very rich and I would love for the world to hear the stories of our students.

About my class
