My class is comprised of 32 students in an inner city school that struggles with the problems associated with poverty. I have often requested families to work on basic facts at home and suggested buying flashcards. Sadly, I have come to learn that there is no money in the family budgets for extra supplies to support learning. Not only are they a very diverse group of learners in way of their ethnicity, but also in the different ways they learn.
