My students are on different academic levels and they all have a different way of learning. I incorporate technology tools to increase student engagement. I believe the traditional desk and chair method gets boring and results in student disruptions. By adding flexible seating options, students are able to choose a seat where they are most comfortable which results in more engagement and comprehension of the content. I want to incorporate wobble seats, balance balls, stools for my stand up tables, and also give them the option of sitting on the floor with cushions and an activity table that is able to be lowered. Flexible seating has shown to help students focus more, it makes students more comfortable which results in better discussions and it gives students choice which allows them to feel more in control of their learning.
