Our high school has grown almost to capacity. Immigrants from the Middle East, language learners from Southeast Asia and Mexico, and students seeking/needing an alternative to the large class size of the mainstream district schools are the main demographic of our students. We are making a difference in the lives of students who might otherwise have fallen through the gaps at other schools. Our school places a large emphasis on student internships and service in the community, providing all school community service days, as well as an internship/leadership class for juniors and seniors. The Math department has adopted a new curriculum that is team based, teacher guided investigations. We all love it and are exciting to make it possible for students to use all components of the curriculum.
