My newest teaching adventure has landed me in Durham, NC, teaching Spanish to K-5 students at Bethesda Elementary School! I am so excited for this new journey, and while I am ready to set my students up for success come this fall, I need some assistance with acquiring materials, especially since world languages in the elementary schools are not currently valued in NC. My goal for every student is to acquire the language, as well as an appreciation for the many facets of the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. We are going to be listening, reading, writing, speaking, singing and dancing our way to being bilingual, biliterate global citizens! Please support our projects to help us become more passionate about the Spanish language and the cultures of the people who speak it, and help us to become more competitive in a global world! :)
