My students are curious, energetic, consistent, endearing, and have autism. They have different personalities but share a common love for learning that makes them feel connected with one another. Some are very quiet, a couple are high strung, a few can talk about cartoons, freeways, and department stores endlessly for hours. They attend an autism program for mild to moderate students with autism in grades 2 through 4 in a public school of about 400 students in Southern California.
