We live in a large suburban area and our school serves about 1700 students grades 10-12. Our school began offering astronomy last year at which time about 45 students took the course, this year 75 students have enrolled. My students take Astronomy as seniors, and they come with many misconceptions about the universe which we are a part of. I love being able to watch their reactions when we explore new topics because they turn into little kids again, eyes wide with bewilderment!
