My students are fourth graders who attend a primarily low income school. About 90% of them qualify for free lunch. They are enthusiastic about learning and are mesmerized by technology since most of them do not have access to it at home. Unfortunately, our class has three outdated computers of which two do not work. The students are always eager when they get an opportunity to use the computer, and it is amazing how you can observe how the students respond positively to learning through integration of technology. These students deserve more technological resources to engage them since that is the way the world is evolving.
