My students are friendly, bright kids negotiating the sometimes difficult "tween" years. They are walking the line between the children that they were, and the young adults they are becoming. We are in a middle class neighborhood where kids walk or ride their bikes and skateboards to school everyday. We are the fifth grade exceptional needs classroom, meaning we have a wide range of abilities. We have students with learning disabilities, students labeled as gifted learners, and much, much more. We believe all our students have unique gifts and talents! Our class consists of a wide range of backgrounds, interests, and abilities. We consider ourselves lifelong learners full of wonder and curiosity and a supportive classroom family.
