My students are all English language learners. They come from low income homes and all qualify for free lunch. I teach 21 awesome third grade bilingual students who are all in the process of learning how to read and write in English. Even though they face many obstacles, they are all very excited about learning anything and everything. They love to read, and are super excited to share what they are learning. My goal for the end of third grade is to instill a love of reading in each child, and to motivate them to write. I want them to leave third grade feeling confident and motivated. I always remind them that they are capable of great things, and it all starts with a good education.
