My students are kind, sweet, smart, and determined little learners. They attend a title 1 school. Most are learning English as a second language and struggle the most with learning language. Phonics, spelling, and reading are where we spend most of our time. Having Kindle Fires in the classroom would enable me to expose them to hundreds of books, phonics games, and spelling games that will increase their knowledge 10 fold. Being able to expose them to more books will open them up to a whole new world and a better understanding of what they can accomplish if they stick with school.
