Students will be able to see a world beyond our rural community. They will forge new friendships and create memories with old friends. They will see historical landmarks and hear about iconic leaders who have impacted our society. They will grow both academically and culturally. Many of these students have never visited another state and will be submerged into the rich culture of Atlanta. After Hurricane Florence, so many of my students were concerned that they would not be able to attend this trip. I made a promise that I would attempt all grants, fundraising opportunities, and scholarships to make this a reality for them.
