Every classroom in our school already has a designated cool-down space. This space is available for students to use in order to calm their uncomfortable feelings. When feeling angry, upset, frustrated, anxious, etc. our students have a place to gather themselves in a peaceful way. These classroom cool-down spaces are in desperate need of TOOLS to help our kiddos calm in a timely fashion - so they can return to being engaged academically. Each classroom Cool-Down Kit (caddy) will get a copy of the three anger rules, ideas to cool-off, a mini-feelings poster, mini-PATHS Control Signal poster, 5-minute timer, and one of each of the cool-down tools found in the shopping cart. These kits will help us continue our school-wide efforts in social-emotional learning!
