Our students live in an urban environment, with mountains and trails less than 30 miles in almost every direction. For most of our students, however, these mountains might as well be in another world. They rarely get the chance to leave their city neighborhoods, so our public charter school has partnered with other agencies to provide gear, lodging, and transportation each month so our students can get outdoors.
