Our students attend a small rural High School in Southwest Missouri. Less than 50% continue their education at a 2-4 year college. Over 70% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunches and many end up in service industry jobs after graduation. My goal is to spark students' interest in a career in health care. We invite health care professionals to come speak. Students are required to research a career that interests them and share their information with their classmates. They also participate in laboratory activities designed to help them learn about health and nutrition.

About my class
