My students are in Kindergarten, they are full of energy and the new experience school brings to them. They want to learn in all but their bodies and brains are just not quite ready to soak it all up. The balance chairs will help to build strength in the core of their body while giving them freedom to wiggle as we do reading activities. Students love to "rock" on their chairs, so because of this I wanted to use the balance ball chairs to give them the movement while being more stable and safe. These chairs have shown help in building the body's core strength which will also help to enhance fine motor skills. Writing can be a very difficult task to accomplish in Kindergarten, we do a variety of activities to help them improve this, using the chairs is a tool in this skill. The use of these chairs can help to improve the writing skills, reading attention, and attitude for learning by making it fun to do what we have to do anyway.
