My school is in an urban area where the students grow up in tough situations. Many of their parents do not read to them on a daily basis because their because they do not know how to read themselves. About 50% of my class is reading below grade level and has a multitude of learning disabilities. We are an innovation school - how can I be an innovative teacher without a proper classroom library?
