I teach in a Title 1 school in a high poverty area. My first grade students are sweet and amazing children, but rarely have the opportunities outside of school for engaging learning activities. During the school day, their curriculum is extremely rigorous, and is consistently focused on academic learning. They work very hard throughout the day and are always so excited to see their reading progress. I would love to give them the opportunity to play literacy games that will help them continue this progress in a fun way.
