My name is Jason Prichard. I teach 7th and 8th grade Science at Willis Junior High School (WJHS) in the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD). Recently, I was given the opportunity to start an engineering elective class at our school. The title of the class is Firebird Design Squad. CUSD is committed to integrating engineering into the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or STEM, curriculum. My colleagues and I at WJHS are committed to integrating engineering into our daily curriculum and are very excited for our students to be able to participate in a class dedicated to engineering. Starting the engineering program at WHJS is a design challenge all its own. I am looking to the community for assistance. The gift of a financial contribution will help acquire equipment necessary to successfully implement this program. Please help our students with your contribution.
