We are a Title I school, which means we have a large percentage of students who qualify for free and reduced lunch. There is no paradox here: we have students who are committed to doing well, and they are supported by parents and faculty members dedicated to the students' success. We are a small, rural school in southern Tennessee whose students are beginning to understand that their skills and strengths have value in many areas. In fact, seventy-four percent of our 2013 graduates are presently taking postsecondary classes.
