In second grade, I'm helping develop fluent readers. Second graders need to continue to read more challenging texts in order to be better readers. These leveled readers will be a great resource for them to have in our classroom library. Students will be able to pick out books that interest them and are challenging their reading skills. Our school is a year-round school so I'm also asking to replenish some of our everyday classroom supplies that are tattered and worn such as pens, markers, card stock, and folders. With your help, my students will be able to read challenging books. They will also meet their individual reading goals because they will learn new vocabulary. I will be able to teach new writing lessons covering the parts of speech. Finally we will be able to replenish tattered and torn materials that we use every day. We appreciate your help and are excited to get these new resources.
