It's pretty common practice to find a children's library filled with the stuffed version of some of literature's greatest characters! We want our library to do the same! We plan on filling our wall with book characters and our shelves with book plushies. Book character plushies are not just toys, they are proof to students that book magic is real! This project aims to get students excited about reading out loud to or with their favorite stuffed characters. Pairing young readers with a stuffed buddy will give students excitement, comfort, and purpose when reading in the library. These stuffed library pals will build confident readers, promote engagement with the text, and create a sense of imagination and wonder.
