As a teacher in a high poverty intermediate school in western Kentucky, I am blessed to teach math to a super group of 80 fifth graders. Our school is composed of nine 5th grade classrooms and nine 4th grade classrooms. The school has a population of around 450 students. These students come from a variety of cultures, backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses.
