School Counselor in a socio-economically challenged neighborhood. Currently serving approximately 488 students in grades PK-5th from various backgrounds. My students are predominately Hispanic and are excited to learn. However, many come to school with an "invisible" backpack full of adult issues that are out of their control and yield them in being actively engaged and focused learners. I also serve Pre-Kinder students with disabilities as well as Kinder through 5th grade students with physical, psychological, and learning disabilities. All of my students deserve an equal educational opportunity to thrive.

About my class
