My first grade students are an eager excited group of children who want to learn to read. My students are from diverse family backgrounds and have many different learning styles. When presented with technology, their attention and excitement to learn becomes contagious and each student is highly engaged. Our school is committed to educating each child for success by providing a positive classroom where children can grow into lifelong learners. Technology becomes a learning stimulus for my five- and six-year-old students. My students need an iPad Air with protective cover and a stylus. Due to our differentiated, heterogeneous classroom, an iPad Air will be used to help reach all students by challenging higher leveled readers and supporting struggling readers. An iPad Air will help create the positive learning environment our school strives to achieve because it will be an educational tool that will help foster a love for learning in each student by creating a stimulating, fun learning environment.
