My students are 1st graders and primarily English Language Learners. They come to me eager to learn (with strong parental support) and somewhat insecure in their ability to do so due to language barriers. My school is 98% free and reduced lunch. All students walk to school as we are located centrally in their neighborhood. Our staff believes in the potential of each and every child that enters our doors. We strive to develop good character and good work ethic. College and career readiness are a constant goal of our staff. Our staff provides many extracurricular activities for our students that they would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience. Activities such as guitar lessons, soccer team, drum club, cultural dancing, tennis, and academic tutoring are provided free of charge to our students.
