The students in my classroom come from low income homes and 68% of them are on free and reduced lunch. The attend public school where they receive a hot breakfast and lunch each day. That may or may not be the only food for the day. They travel little and are limited in the local attractions due to being 2 hours from a city of any size. Many do not have computers or Internet service in their homes. They are fascinated by the access we do have to technology. In addition to being able to access the world through technology, they also enjoy being challenged in reading and math through the means of apps and websites. The students in my class range in age from 5-7. Many score below the national average and are behind the level of their peers. They live in a rural area with limited industry and jobs. Many are part of the welfare system,
