My students come from all over the world. I have an incredibly diverse set of classes and they all bring something different into the classroom. Our high school is among the largest in NYC. Although they are very diverse, their view of the world is small. Most of them are not familiar with places outside of the cities they have grown up in. Even those who came from abroad are not familiar with more than the places they have lived.
