I am the Mathematics and Robotics Teacher at Pacific High School, in Sixes, OR. Our school is on the Southern Oregon Coast and has approximately 75 students. Our students have the highest poverty rate in Oregon, 55 percent, (Davis, C. May 9, 2015.The World. Coos Bay, OR, http://theworldlink.com) and the school ranks at the 50th highest percentage of poverty in the nation. I retired from the U.S. Navy as and Engineering Warrant Officer after 25 years of service on January 1, 2011. I spent the next two years going to school to receive my initial teaching license in Oregon. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology, a BS in Political Science/Social Science, and a MEd in Secondary Education (Middle/High School). I am highly qualified to teach Advanced Mathematics, Physics, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. I love teaching and attempt to integrate project based learning into every unit of my math classes.
