We are a small rural school in Central Kentucky where most of our students live on farms and raise crops with their families. For most of our students, their elementary music class will be the only place they will have the opportunity to have an in-depth study of a musical instrument. It is my belief that ALL children deserve the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument. We are an elementary school that consists of around 350 students from preschool to fifth grade. The students come to school and class eager to learn. They enjoy music class but we are very limited to what we can do. We need more instruments to help engage kinesthetic learners.
