Hello! In a nutshell, my students plan to paint 600 shoes and tie-dye 600 t-shirts in early April and deliver them to Haiti in July, when we travel to Croix-des-Bouquet and Leogane to teach art workshops to 600 Haitian children. Many Haitians were injured, left homeless or died in the 2010 earthquake. The idea is to teach artistic skills that they can, in turn, use to make and sell art and become a self-supportive art community. We will create a video documentary illuminating the experience. On behalf of Haiti and my students, any donation large or small is appreciated.
