Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My creative third grade students love to "use their words"!

I teach in a small town in Arizona.

My school has a reputation for academic excellence and high expectations for student achievement. My third graders come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. They are avid readers and writers who love to learn!

My Project

I am requesting tools such as magnetic words, word building dice, letter stamps, and dough. My students will use these materials during the "Word Work" and 'Work on Writing" segments during our literacy block. They will be able to work independently and in small groups or partnerships to create words and explore them. These materials will provide my students with valuable tactile experiences with word creation.
