My students need an area rug, 2 bean bag chairs, 2 storage end tables, and jungle animal party theme decorations for a kid friendly classroom. As a new program and teacher on the campus, I did not have a lot to make the classroom home for the kids.
Every day is a different day in our classroom. All the students are on different levels and have different needs.
I teach special education and work with the students who cannot learn in a general education classroom.
I have these students kindergarten thru 5th grade. The students have adapted well to the new classroom, but I want to make it a classroom where they thrive. This jungle animal theme will bring a positive feeling. I was a new teacher coming into the middle of the year. Luckily, a lot of things were donated to us. The room did not have a theme and things were randomly placed. We were very blessed to get all we received, but I want to start an animal theme for learning since my students love animals.
My Project
My students need an area rug, 2 bean bag chairs, 2 storage end tables, and jungle animal party theme decorations, for a kid friendly classroom. As a new classroom and program on the campus,and as a new teacher, I did not have a lot to make the classroom home for the kids. The materials will make the classroom more friendly and make it into a room that they love. Having this theme will bring a smile to the kids faces. School is a challenge for these students and they are faced with difficulties throughout each day.
This project will help make the classroom feel like a happy place where they are safe. Our classroom needs a big rug. Our whole classroom is tile and makes it hard to do activities on the floor. These students need to be able to learn in all different ways. The bean bag chairs would also be a way for kids to feel comfortable if they are not able to sit directly on the floor (like my student who is in a wheelchair). The decorations would help make the theme and atmosphere come together for the students. I know the students would love to be able to sit on the ground with the teacher and learn.
This will provide a kid friendly classroom to students who have special needs.
These are some of the greatest students and they deserve a classroom. Having this theme will make them beyond happy.
