This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever wondered how and why the Earth's surface is always changing? My students want to know all about it.

My class is filled with High Poverty and Highly Motivated students who are curious about the world around them.

These 21 students want to know more, but lack the resources to find answers about our planet. Their families are just struggling to live day to day and cannot afford the extras to be on the cutting edge of education.

My Project

These items will help them understand the basics of how our Earth is constantly changing and working. The Earth model will help them to visualize the different layers of the Earth. The Stream table will allow them to see how erosion works and test their ideas of how to slow down erosion. The Seismograph Model will allow them to see how earthquakes are measured. The Geology Demonstration Model will allow them to see the internal workings of earthquakes and possible assist them in designing better warning systems and safer cities and buildings.

This project is so important to these students because they are curious about the world around them.

These materials will help them to understand how the Earth is shaped and how it moves. Through this understanding, these students can start molding and developing their problem-solving and engineering skills.
