Weather and Seasons: Exploring Math and Science Field Trip

My students need funding for admission for a fun and educational field trip to Paradise Park in Lee's Summit, Missouri to study weather and seasons.

My Students

I want my students to experience a hands-on educational field trip to study weather and seasons. This could be the year they get to study science with amazing interactive activities. Remember the field trips you took with your class? I want my students to experience that same feeling.

My students are in first grade.

They are very eager to learn, especially in math and science! I see their faces light up when we are doing an experiment in science. They enjoy working in groups with hands-on materials that help them learn and engage them in learning experiences. My school is high poverty, and my students would not be able to take this field trip on their own.

My Project

My students need funding for admission for a fun and educational field trip to Paradise Park in Lee's Summit. My students will be able to work with retired Missouri certified teachers who have over 30 years of experience. They will learn more about the weather and seasons. They will be able to take information from this field trip and relate it to school work and their lives outside of school. We will take the information back with us and students can design and create activities based on what they have learned.

This field trip to Paradise Park will change the lives of my students with an experience they would not be able to have on their own.

I know my students will learn so much by being interactive with math and science. This trip will continue to grow their love of math and science for a lifetime.
