My Students

We all know the feeling when kids can use technology better than adults. This is definitely the case with my students. They love using the ipads in my classroom. The problem is when you have multiple students using ipads without headphones, it can become distracting to other students.

My first grade students love school and work really hard.

They come from very diverse backgrounds. Many of them come from low income families. They love learning and can't get enough. My school received ipads through a grant and the student love using them during reading and math time.

My Project

My students love using the ipads. Ipads have many great apps that the students use daily to help them learn and show their learning. Unfortunately, we only have a few headphones that are cheap and break very easily or they are the ear bud types that don't fit in their little ears. Also, imagine being in a room where everyone is using an ipad or computer or mp3 player without any headphones. Talk about distracting!

By donating to this project you will be allowing my students to use the ipads more without it being distracting to other students' learning.

The few headphones we currently have are constantly breaking or no longer work. Receiving a class set of these headphones would allow all students to have a pair that won't break and are safe for their developing ears.
