My students need 9 sets of crayons, watercolors, and markers for each table. We need construction paper of all colors and glue. This will help us finish out the year.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 900 students I see on a weekly basis. We are grateful for the budget we get, but even with that, we run out of supplies. When I started at this school four years ago we had a bucket of old markers and a bucket of old broken crayons. We're slowly making progress, we could use more help.
My students are crazy about making art.
I've had students come in singing "I love art!" which makes my heart smile. I'm always met with hugs, smiles and high-fives as they walk into my room. The art they produce is amazing! They are so creative and inventive, not to mention hard working. Very rarely do I have to prod students to put more effort into things. These kids work hard in art as well as academically. With the new tests coming up they really have been hitting the books. I believe that having this 45 minutes to work on something as freeing as art helps them relax and have fun. My goal is to keep them supplied with as many art tools as possible, keep them inspired and keep them happy.
My Project
Though this is not a particular project it is very important. Our school has over 900 students. I have to change out markers and crayons every six weeks. I'm already running out of construction paper and glue sticks and we have 3 months left in school! I don't even want to think about starting the new school year off without these supplies. Help us keep the creative juices flowing by supplying us with tools!
