Using Apps to Aid in Differentiation

My students need an iPad to work on multiplication and division skills in different ways. Some need to be able to type all work due to difficultly with motor skills.

My Students

Bring us to the next century! We would like to explore ways in which to use apps to enhance the learning in the classroom. For struggling students, an iPad would be a great asset to their work. For higher achieving students, explorations of new possibilities could take place.

My students are great people and really want to succeed in school and do good things in life.

They come from a wide variety of cultures and heritages. They attend a charter school whose motto is "The world is my home, I will make it better". My students really take this idea to heart and try to live this in many different ways.

My Project

I want some of the students just to be better at certain basic skills, such as multiplication, reading and writing. I'd also like to explore other possibilities using the iPad to be more creative with technology in the classroom, allowing the students to participate in the creation.

The students will use this resource wisely and, with practice, use this to learn in another format.

We also hope to be able to reach others that have difficulties in learning with the regular school tools we use and try to learn and use technology as well.
