My students need ukuleles to teach rhythm, chord structure, composition, and to promote group unity, continued music learning, and personal growth.

My Students
At the end of this school year, I would love to see my students able to proudly share their abilities on the ukulele with their families and other teachers in a performance setting. To get to that point, we need a classroom set of ukuleles so each student has equal opportunity to learn and grow.
Our student population is very excited to learn!
However, we are a low income school and have a high free/reduced lunch rate. Asking students to purchase their own ukuleles isn't feasible. There is a history of cultural turmoil at our school, and learning ukuleles as a class is a fun, educational way to bring groups together.
My Project
We are just asking that we get a classroom set of ukuleles that can be used in order to help develop the skills that it takes to play an instrument. Learning an instrument helps to develop coordination, language skills, interpretation skills, and group dynamics. We will give them an experience in self discipline and group performance that they can use to help their future schooling, and build necessary life-skills.
Students who take part in music instruments have higher than average abilities in creative thinking, social interactions, and critical thinking skills.
Please help me give these students a good starting point from which to grow.
