My students need a Mac Book Air to use as a classroom.

There is inequality and an issue of not having adequate technology for each student in my classroom. I've spoken out and blogged about how in the same city, there are other schools that are using MacBooks. Yet, where I've been teaching there isn't one MacBook for student use in sight.
My students are the best.
This year I have a phenomenal group that is ready to take learning to the next level. My classroom is comprised of eager, energetic and motivated learners. They work extremely well in groups and I've noticed how connected they are with each other. My classroom is diverse in personality. I'm noticing that this key difference is making the greatest impact on their learning. We are goal oriented and focused on achievement everyday. The school in which they attend is awesome. We are low on resources per room, however, the staff works well with finding and sharing resources with each other. Our school is situated in the heart of a major city. Being that our school is located in the inner city, our students live with crime, poverty, unemployment and home abandonment. Parents, students and staff members are dedicated and highly concerned with the academic environment and learning that takes place. The collaboration between all stakeholders keeps us together.
The MacBook Air will be used by my third grade students to bring life into our lessons. The Mac has a plethora of apps that will allow my students to create a project after every unit of study for take home to showcase their learning. My students will become immersed in their learning. I envision assignments that are vivid, lifelike and energizing. The MacBook is student friendly, meaning students can teach from the MacBook to their peers as well. My vision is to have a culminating activity that is tangible, creative and innovative. I am an advocate for hands-on learning and research after every major unit. With the MacBook Air in the classroom, students will be using a piece of technology that they've never seen. Students will learn to edit, draw, share solutions with apps on mathematical problems. Students will surf the web and showcase pictures, links and apps to receive further information in math, science, reading and writing. The uses of a MacBook Air are limitless.
Learning with advanced technology is the best and most effective way of keeping students engaged and motivated.
Many and most of our youth are visual learners. Innovation is essential and necessary. Every student learner deserves to use resources to better their personal and educational lives. The item we are asking for will impact my students and future students. It's imperative that they have the tools necessary to reach their fullest potential. Your assistance is appreciated.
