My students need teaching kits, pocket charts, and audible reminders that time is constantly moving! We have a limited amount of time for each lesson-help us keep track and make the most of it!

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"Time goes so fast!" as one of my favorite students says daily. We have such important work to get done each lesson, and with distracted minds and bodies, we lose a lot of valuable time to learn! Help us stay focused and urgent-we need visual reminders that time is always moving!

My students are loving, generous, determined, and a little distracted at times... They often lose track of time and forget that even when they are not working, time is still ticking.

They are hard workers, but often take lengthy transitions to get refocused and back to work. They love watching time tick down, but my cell phone timer is not big enough, or loud enough for the whole classroom to see and hear.

My Project

These visual timers will help us track our lessons better and keep us focused on the task at hand. By watching the timer, with both visual and audio cues, my students will gain a better understanding of just how valuable, and limited, our time together is. With more time focused, we can get through more practice together, and they can become more confident and independently motivated students. We are also currently working on money skills and other important life skills involving using and saving money. We need LOTS of practice with real money!

With more time focusing and less time slipping away, we can make greater academic gains this year than ever before!

Help my students recognize the value of our time together and the importance of using it wisely! We can also get lots of practice using money--training for life and future jobs!
