Cheering is something that has been a part of my life. I have actually used it in my classroom to help excite the children, and I am certain my students and I would "cheer" to have a set of 28 boogie boards in our classroom!
I teach Kindergarten at a Pre K-5 school with over 500 students.
The parental support is very important to our families in the community. In addition to that, our school has wonderful and caring leaders and teachers. Let me also add, that we have the most wonderful students! I have been a Kindergarten teacher many years now, and despite obstacles in the teaching field, I still love teaching today. Our school is one that knows the power of technology in the classroom, and we work hard every year to gain more technology resources for our students. With small and large grants, we keep striving to bring more to our school and children. In short, our wonderful students are, and will always be, our top priority.
My Project
As a Kindergarten teacher, I see how students enter school on a new level in terms of technology. They embrace it faster than ever before. A set of classroom Boogie Boards would be great for writing, drawing & other creative work. I could create activities meshed with reading, art, & math activities for this resource. We live in a world filled with technology unlike ever before. According to the site: "The revolutionary Reflex LCD featured in the Boogie Board Original 8.5 eWriter retains an image indefinitely without power until you press the erase button to clear the screen." I could place them in centers for writing, practicing ELA (alphabet) and math (number) practice too. The Boogie Board tablet's pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push, just like paper and pen! My students love art. As a teacher, I love "Empowering Students Through Art". This would help my creative students with academics, as well as art projects!
As an elementary teacher, I know that technology can play a vital role in the classroom.
