My students need an iPad for centers. With an iPad, Apple Dock Connector VGA Adapter and case, my students and I could use this in centers and whole class instruction.
Tablets in the classroom show enormous potential and are on the rise. As a teacher whose 1st graders truly use effective technology lessons daily, I know having an iPad, VGA adapter and case would serve a purpose in bringing more lessons to life for us.
I currently teach at a Pre K-5th grade school.
Our town is known to be a tight knit community that works together. Parental support is a priority in our area. Our local school has around 550 students. I currently teach all subjects in 1st grade. I love working with 1st grade students! My students are eager to learn and work in centers every day.
My Project
As an educator, I know the importance of focusing on individual student levels. With the use of an iPad, I know my students could work in independent iPad centers to increase reading and math levels. With that said, let me mention that our school set up an iPad Website to assist parents in finding skill apps at home. There is one link that shows free apps. I would utilize that to help lessen learning gaps with certain areas. It is obvious that we live in a technology society that embraces new technologies at hand. I know combining technology resources for our students would be productive. My plan would be to connect the iPad with an Apple Dock VGA adapter to combine my interactive whiteboard and projector. It would offer a different, and yet meaningful experience to my 1st graders.
With technology money currently not available at this time for classroom iPads, my students and I would be appreciative of your help in having our own classroom tablet.
I know we would use it for effective lessons to bring the students to a higher level of academic achievement. Please consider helping our 1st grade class!
