Our school motto is "Every child is capable of success! No exceptions, no excuses!" We truly believe this and our students know that we will never give up on them.
About 85% of my students come from low income neighborhoods and face incredible trials each day just to get to school.
With below average test scores and under-utilization threatening to close down our school, we are doing everything that we can to prepare our students for post-secondary success, despite the lack of funding received from the city. Our school experiences continuous budget cuts, but the staff remains optimistic and determined to help our students reach their fullest potential and we have seen many amazing success stories because of this.
My Project
Due to the lack of funding, we are unable to offer courses besides the required core subjects. Next year, however, I will be offering a psychology course to all interested students. This will offer a chance for our students to better understand themselves and others. Unfortunately, I am unable to purchase textbooks myself, but with your help, I can get this class started with its basic needs.
Your donation will help my students experience a more diverse curriculum and it will allow them to expand their understanding of the world.
All children are capable of success! No exceptions, no excuses! Thank you so much for your help.
