A typical day in my classroom is certainly busy! My kids are actively engaged throughout the day with fun learning activities. We have a literacy studio, writer's workshop, and follow a fun, new math curriculum.
My students attend a school in Kentucky.
The school was built two years ago for the growing population of our town and it just keeps growing. My classroom is very diverse. I have some learners who enjoy reading all day, every day. And I have some learners who enjoy quizzing math facts and adding two-digit numbers. These first graders are fun-loving and very motivated. I'd love to keep them engaged!
My Project
I believe these 2 iPad Minis will be utilized in every single subject I teach. They will be a daily staple in our Literacy Studio. They will be a center at our daily math centers. These iPads will be incredibly useful for our science and social studies lessons. And most of all, I envision these as a truly memorable experience for my students. The students are so incredibly techy these days, this will bring in so much interest!
In the 21st centuries, it is hard to find a youngster without a phone, iPod, computer, etc.
Technology is getting more and more popular with very young students. At the age of 3, they are given tablets to play with. I want to engage and keep the interest of my students by giving them something meaningful to their own lives.
