My Students

In my mathematics classroom, we have a flipped classroom. Students watch the lessons outside of class so we can enhance student learning through technology and hands-on activities in the classroom.

My students embrace technology and seek opportunities and experiences to broaden their thinking and learn new skills.

Our school encourages risk-taking and creative thinking, so I am seeking technology that will support students in new ways of thinking and reasoning.

My Project

My students will use these eight Chromebooks to practice 21st century skills, such as critical thinking, reasoning, and sense-making. Students will be able to engage in work that challenges them as learners and stretches their thinking in new ways. They will learn how to engage in higher-order thinking skills as they apply to coding and mathematics.

As our students prepare to enter high school and eventually choose their college and career pathways, they will be expected to have a specific set of skills, including 21st century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and reasoning.

This technology, along with software designed to practice and enhance these skills, will prepare students for a changing world.
