My students love using technology throughout the day in all subject areas.
We are a class of 21 fourth graders who love learning and using technology.
We are at a growing charter school. We are lucky enough to have online programs to enhance student learning; however, we have to do a lot of sharing. With these tablets, we could do a little less sharing and have more time learning!
My Project
We have countless ways to use these four tablets with cases throughout our day! In reading, we use the wonderful Istation program, that adjusts to what the student needs (great individualized instruction). In math, we use i-Ready, this also adjusts to what the students need, more individualized instruction! In science, we us Discovery Education to dig deeper into the science standards by reading our techbook and playing fun (don't tell the kids they're learning) games! There are also countless times the students will ask a question, and I have to say "how about we Google that!" However, we only have the teacher computer, and sometimes we can't do it right then and there.
The learning possibilities are endless!
If we receive these tablets, my students will be able to learn so much more in a way that makes sense to them.
With the tablets, they can also be more in control of their learning instead of depending on me and sharing the technology throughout the school!
