My students need new books like Dorko the Magnificent, King of the Mound, and Elvis and the Underdogs from the Sunshine State reader list to add to our classroom library.

We are a school in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
I currently have 52 4th grade students in a self-contained gifted program. They are a great group of kids who love learning and rise to any challenge put in front of them. They continually amaze me with their enthusiasm for completing projects and going above and beyond what is expected of them.
My Project
I would like to purchase the current elementary Sunshine State Readers from 2014-2015 for our classroom library. My students need new books like Dorko the Magnificent, King of the Mound, and Elvis and the Underdogs. I envision my students reading these books everywhere they go. My class this year can not get their noses out of their books. From walking to lunch to reading in between activities, they can't get enough books! After each book is read, students are able to take a comprehension test on a computer based program called Accelerated Reader. We use this program as incentive for students to read and comprehend books while earning prizes for motivation.
The donations of the Sunshine State Readers will help improve our classroom library.
By having a greater selection of fiction books, my students will be able to read and take a comprehension test on the books.
