See what Mr. Ross is requestingMy students need these items (hand sanitizer, disinfectant, tissues) to help them stay in school and not allow others germs to infect them, and the other supplies (notebook paper, dividers, pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, etc.) to help with the classroom projects.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
A typical day in the classroom is students interacting daily with so many different reading, writing, and math projects going on. With the amount of projects going on many have found time to be creative and express themselves in an all boys academy with the limited amount of material they have.
My students are students that care and enjoy working.
They are intelligent males that have been given an excellent opportunity to broaden their knowledge in a program that has been put together to help them grow into well respected, educated, intelligent young men. The Academy was put in place to push our young men who are at the middle school age become academically stronger. Our academy has proven that our students can rise to every challenge that they are faced with rather it be at home or outside.
The materials being requested such as hand sanitizer, disinfectant, and tissues will ensure that many of my students have the supplies they need to help them stay in class. 98% of our students are living in poverty. This is the season that many of our students stay home because they are sick from colds, and so many others that spread their germs. The supplies requested will allow me to keep the classroom sanitized and germs free so that I can teach my students at school and not have to send the work home, and they miss out on great classroom instruction. The other supplies, pencils, notebook paper, binders, pencil sharpener, pens, etc. will allow all of the writing, and math projects to go well. When students come to class and they have the supplies that they need they work well. When they have to go home ask their parents who are struggling for materials it causes them to stress and their work suffers. It would be great for them to come to class and have all materials they need to start on their projects and work carefully, and stress free to produce such a great ending project that reflects them
The donations to this project will improve my classroom by causing it to be germ free, and the other supplies will help many of my students who have projects weekly come to the class and just get the materials they need, and not have to wait weeks for their parents to get them.
Many of the parents can't afford to get the students the materials they need. When donating to this project remember that this will mean that there is one class that has materials they need to keep their education moving.
