My students need various sizes of containers to store their counting collections which include beans, pasta, beads, plastic insects, paper clips, and pom poms.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students need efficient access to needed materials, to allow them to have more time-on-task for learning. Having organizational skills will contribute to my students' learning becoming more efficient and effective.
I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of learners.
I work with students with autism, students with specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and students who may benefit from small group interventions. Close to 90% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch and about 60% of our students are English language learners.
My Project
These assortment of containers will be use to store beads, bean counters, counting bears, pasta, pom poms, and cubes. My students will be given a specific container to count. I will guide my students to group their objects by 5s, and 10s. Counting objects will help my students develop 1:1 correspondence. These containers will help our counting collection remain organize.
